The Great Pumpkin - I ♥ faces FALL theme

This weeks theme is FALL at www.iheartfaces.com. Of course, those who know me know its my favorite season of all, even more so than Christmas (gasp!!!!).. I have so many memories of fall embedded in my heart both from my past long ago, and those more recent...

Thought I would share a photo taken this past week at a pumpkin patch near our home on Camano Island...When I saw it, it made me giggle... I thought of one of the best classic cartoons of all time... "Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown"... I recalled watching it as a little girl (and again and again as a not so little girl  :) ... I remember the beloved characters in the pumpkin field on the show...Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and Sally...And then I giggled some more as I recalled one of my favorite lines in the whole episode...

"That stupid blockhead brother of mine is out in the pumpkin patch making his yearly fool of himself"... (Lucy explaining why Linus wasn't going to be attending the Halloween party...)

You see, I can relate with the blockhead...I can relate with wanting to go to the pumpkin field, wanting to find the Great Pumpkin...my version of it just may be a bit different from our favorite blockheads...

So here it is ... my Great Pumpkin ... and all her glory...
