♥ I heart Faces Pet week ♥

Here we are, another week of photo challenges... this week at http://www.iheartfaces.com/, it's one of my favorite subjects.. P E T S ! Here's this weeks entry for myself, our wonderfully funny pet rooster "Vinny".

Vinny was an unexpected addition to our home just a couple months ago.  Actually that seems to be the theme of most of our pets... hummmm .. perhaps those in the animal world somehow communicate with each other thru the wind and fill each other in on good and bad things around them ? It truly shocks me to this day how some people end up treating their pets. Millions end up being euthanized just because they ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Others are because someone just didn't want them anymore. It is a very sad and overwhelming situation for all involved in the animal rescue world, but the only thing that helps me get thru it, is knowing that I can make a differance, thou small, in at least a few furry (or feathered) ones lives. The love you get in return for your efforts is indescribable.  In our home, we currently have three dogs, two cats, of course Vinny the Rooster, two rabbits and two birds. Each one has its own special, loving, funny, thankful personality. It's not the most we've had here on our mini-farm, but for us its enough. Yes I said ENOUGH!  I say that now... but who knows what is in the future. I have given up on saying never say never anymore. And that is okay with me for now. Just for now...

  6. Thanks everyone !!!! Funny thing is, roosters kinda scared me too.. before I bet Vinny .. he's a laugh a minute, actually "talks" to people or "things" he comes across on our property.. I took this photo about 2 months ago, and he's tripled in size since then!!!! He likes to follow me around property when I'm out exercising dogs, or capturing photos.. funny bird, that's for sure.. and yes, I have to agree, the eyes do follow you !! :)
