ME as seen thru I heart Faces theme

Soooo here we go ... This weeks http://www.iheartfaces.com/ challenge!!  This weeks theme you ask ?  SELF PORTRAITS !  Now, I have to admit... being a mom with a camera, one of the best things I get to do everyday is capture my daughter during her happiest, her worst, her saddest and most amazing times with my camera.  I love this. I love doing it, I love preserving these memories for her, so that in time, way far down the road of life, she will look back and remember these moments like they were yesterday...
But now they want to have me capture myself ? UGH.  I'm one of those type of people that really doesn't take the time to photograph themselves.... yes, I try the self portraits when I'm with my husband and daughter.. those are always a good laugh ! Holding up a heavy camera, trying to focus and get THE perfect shot.. challenging yes, but as I said, good laughs, and once in a great while a pretty good photo comes out. So for this weeks challenge, I stepped out of the box... i'm gonna have to turn in a photo of myself (ugh! just saying that haunts me!), but maybe I can throw a spin into it...

On one of my recent walks, around where I park my car while waiting for my daughter at the bus stop, I saw my reflection in the window of my suv.. hummmm .. this could get interesting I thought .. so I did it. I snapped it, and later admired what I had shot.  I ended up LOVING the trees you see in the window, I loved seeing the texture of my sweatshirt, and I loved seeing the way the breeze had tossed my hair a bit. Had I just done it ? Had I captured a self portrait of myself that I could actually stand looking at ? Yes. YES !! Yes I had. And with that, here ya go bloggers, photographers, moms with cameras and others who can't stand the thought of capturing yourself.. here's my entry into this weeks theme... Hopefully it will inspire you to take a chance, and even take a second look.. you may just surprise yourself...
